Activities & Presentation Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Banham Zoo for a seasonal Activities & Presentation Officer.

This role involves working in a close team to deliver quality presentations, which promote conservation, the work of the Zoological Society of East Anglia and the wonders of the natural world. It includes driving and presenting the Safari Roadtrain as well as assisting with the feeding talk programme and animal handling sessions. The role will also include assisting the Education Officers with day-to-day tasks such as animal husbandry, event planning, up keep of the Education Centre and production of educational resources.

This position is offered as a zero hour contract, with specific hours/days to be discussed. The contract will run until the 31st October 2017.

The successful candidate will have experience of public speaking and good communication skills, together with a good level of animal/environmental knowledge, coupled with excellent customer care.

Candidates must be over 21 years old with a full driving license and over 2 years driving experience in order to drive the Roadtrain in accordance with our insurance requirements.

Seasonal Food & Beverage Team

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic people to work in the catering outlets of our award winning zoo during our main season, running through from March to November.

This is a varied role and includes preparing and serving food, till operation and general housekeeping.  We offer full training with a chance to work in a fun and exciting environment.

Due to the nature of the business, successful applicants will be required to work weekdays, plus weekends and Bank Holidays.
