Heavy Horses can be fun, despite the cost and the labour intensive work required to care for them, but owning a horse will always remain a dream for many.

The heavy horses at Banham Zoo are accessible, and are often ‘out and about’ especially at the Agricultural Shows and events where their activities always put them in the limelight. Sponsorship provides an opportunity to take a closer interest in the horse or donkey of your choice whether for yourself or as a gift for someone special. Sponsorship can be taken out on the horse or donkey of your choice for £40 for 12 months.

• Receive a sponsorship certificate complete with colour photograph of your chosen horse or donkey.

• Follow and support the activities of the horses and donkeys through the periodic newsletter from Heritage Farm Stables

• Your support will be acknowledged on the Sponsors Honour Roll in the Farm Stable with your support and interest...

If the Heavy Horse is to companion us into the future, as it has for the past thousand years or more, then there needs to be a far wider appreciation of how they have served us, of their grace, presence, size and strength, and of their quiet capability. That appreciation will not come from today’s typical modern farm, therefore we hope that our Heritage Farm Stables, with your support, will help re-dress the balance
