The Senegal turaco is found in the forests of West Africa where its green plumage offers perfect camouflage amongst the trees.

The Senegal turaco feeds mainly on fruit, but will also eat leaves, seeds and flowers. Due to their diet, they are very important seed dispersers.

Both parents incubate the small clutch of 1 to 2 eggs, and both help feed the young.
