ACTIVITIES & PRESENTATION OFFICER

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Banham Zoo for an Activities & Presentation Officer. (Permanent Minimum 10 Hour p/w Contract)

This role involves working in a close team to deliver quality presentations that promote conservation, the work of the Zoological Society of East Anglia and the wonders of the natural world. It includes driving and presenting the Safari Roadtrain as well as assisting with the feeding talk programme and animal handling sessions. The role will also include assisting the Education Officers with day-to-day tasks such as animal husbandry, upkeep of the Education Centre and production of educational resources.

The position is offered as a minimum 10 hour per week contract, although there will be additional hours available during busy periods. Specific hours / days to be discussed, which will include weekend and bank holiday working. Start date: Immediate.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience of public presentation. If you are committed to ensuring our guests’ experience is positive and have a good level of animal and environmental knowledge we would be delighted to hear from you.

Candidates must be over 21 years old with a full driving licence and over 2 years driving experience in order to drive the Roadtrain in accordance with our insurance requirements.
