Zoological Society of East Anglia’s 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run

Rules and Regulations

  • The 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run is organized by the Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA) and none of our staff or sponsors will be liable for any injury, loss or expense which may arise as a consequence of your participation in this event.
  • A condition of entry is that you agree to abide by these ZSEA 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run Rules.
  • Entry to the 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run are personal to each applicant and Running numbers cannot be sold or transferred.
  • Once you have paid for your entry there can be no refund if you are subsequently unable to take part in the 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel applications, including duplicate applications, or alter the date of the event, the course route or distance.
  • The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
  • All runners are required to complete the contact and medical details on the back of their Run numbers. This is a requirement of participation and may be checked by Run Officials prior to the start.
  • Run numbers must be pinned securely to the front of your running top using a safety pin in each corner.
  • We will be providing manual stop watch times at this event.
  • Maximum time to complete the course:- 5k Adults and children (13 years and over): 1.5 hours for the 3 mile (5km) course – 1.6k Children (under 13 years): 45 minutes for the 1 mile (1.6km) course
  • No wheeled vehicles are permitted.
  • Any belongings left in the baggage area are stored at the owner’s risk.
  • 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run marshals and medical team members have the authority to disqualify and remove any runner they consider to be acting dangerously, or to be unfit to compete.
  • Runners are required to report any casualties immediately to the nearest First Aid Post or 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run marshal.
  • In the event of any dispute the decision of the 5k Run for Wildlife & Children’s Fun Run Referee shall be final.
  • Prizes – there will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd runner in the children’s race and 1st, 2nd and 3rd runners (13+) 5k race. There will also be spot prizes in both races.
