Run wild at the annual Banham Zoo 5K, proudly sponsored by Everywhen Insurance. Race your way through scenic parkland before finishing with an unforgettable lap around Norfolk’s biggest zoo — it’s the closest you’ll get to running with the animals!

Along the route, you’ll pass kangaroos, emus, towering giraffes, maned wolves, vultures, llamas, gelada baboons, penguins, lemurs, meerkats and more.

With a brilliant atmosphere and a mostly flat course, this run is perfect for everyone — from first-time 5K runners to PB-chasers ready to channel their inner cheetah.

This is a race day with a difference — with every penny raised helping Banham Zoo protect wildlife here in Norfolk and around the world.

So bring friends and family along to cheer you on! Spectators can enjoy discounted zoo entry, and once you’ve crossed the finish line, you can all enjoy a brilliant day out together at Banham Zoo.

8:30AM

Banham Zoo opens at 08:30am, and runners and spectators can arrive and head straight to the Race Day Village to get settled in.

8:30AM

Runner registration opens at 08:30am, so you can collect everything you need before the fun begins.

9:30AM

At 09:30am, it’s time to warm up and get race-ready with the crowd before heading to the start line.

9:45am

The Banham Zoo 5K begins at 09:45am — take off through scenic parkland and enjoy an unforgettable lap around the zoo!

11:00am

At 11:00am, the zoo opens to the general public, and runners and spectators can spend the rest of the day exploring the zoo.
